Snooze and Stow Rocking Portable Folding Bassinet
We designed the Ingenuity Snooze and Stow bassinet for families who need a safe sleep space that travels as easily as it stores. This portable bassinet folds completely flat in under 10 seconds, collapsing to just 4 inches thick so it slips under a bed, in a closet, or behind a door.

The Ingenuity Snooze and Stow bassinet collapses using a single-step release mechanism built into the steel frame. Press the two side buttons simultaneously, and the entire structure flattens in one smooth motion — no need to remove the mattress pad or detach the mesh panels first.

Mesh sides and airflow engineering
Why we use four-panel mesh
We wrapped all four sides of the Snooze and Stow in breathable polyester mesh rather than solid fabric or only partial panels. This design choice keeps air circulating around your baby throughout the night, reducing heat buildup inside the bassinet even when you place it against a wall or near other furniture.
The mesh also gives you a clear sightline to your newborn from any angle in the room. You can glance over from your bed, a nursing chair, or the doorway and see your baby’s chest rising and falling without leaning directly over the top rail. Each mesh panel attaches to the steel frame with reinforced stitching at 12 anchor points, so the fabric stays taut and wrinkle-free even after dozens of fold-and-unfold cycles.

Rocking motion and stationary lock
The curved base runners give the Snooze and Stow a gentle rocking arc of about 15 degrees front to back. A light push with your hand sets the motion going, and the bassinet rocks freely for 20 to 30 seconds before settling to a stop — enough time to soothe a fussy baby without requiring you to stand and bounce.
When you prefer a stationary sleep surface, flip the two plastic lock tabs on the underside of each base runner. The locks engage small pegs that contact the floor and prevent any rocking movement, transforming the bassinet into a fixed stand. We recommend using stationary mode during naps if your baby startles easily or if you’re placing the bassinet on carpet that dampens the rocking motion too much.

Common questions about the Snooze and Stow bassinet
The Snooze and Stow is designed for newborns up to 15 pounds or until your baby can push up on hands and knees, whichever comes first. Most babies reach this stage between 4 and 5 months old.
Once your child begins rolling over or pushing up, it’s time to transition to a crib or other sleep surface. The weight and mobility limits are safety guidelines that prevent your baby from tipping or climbing out of the bassinet.
Yes, you can leave the mattress pad in place when you fold the Snooze and Stow. The pad is thin enough that it doesn’t interfere with the folding mechanism or add noticeable bulk to the collapsed profile.
We designed the fold to work with or without the pad installed, so you don’t need to strip the bassinet down every time you want to store it. Just press the release buttons, fold the frame flat, and the mattress pad folds along with the structure.
The rocking motion gradually slows and stops on its own after 20 to 30 seconds. You don’t need to manually stop it or engage the locks unless you want the bassinet to remain completely stationary.
If you prefer zero movement—during naps or if your baby is a light sleeper—flip the two lock tabs on the underside of the base runners. The locks prevent any rocking until you release them again.
The mattress pad cover and fitted sheet are both machine-washable in cold water on a gentle cycle. We recommend air-drying or using low heat in the dryer to preserve the elastic edges.
The mesh sides can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. The steel frame wipes down easily with a baby-safe surface cleaner. Most parents find that washing the sheet and pad cover once a week keeps the bassinet fresh, with spot-cleaning as needed for spills.
The bassinet works on both carpet and hard floors. The rocking motion is slightly dampened on thick carpet, but the fold mechanism and stability are unaffected.
If you’re using the rocker on plush carpet and find the motion too subtle, you can place a thin board or large book under the base runners to give the rocker a firmer surface. The stationary lock mode works equally well on any floor type.
When folded, the Snooze and Stow measures 30 inches long by 17 inches wide and just 4 inches thick. This compact profile fits under most beds, behind doors, in closets, or in car trunks.
The carry handles stay attached in folded mode, so you can grab the unit and slide it into storage without needing a separate bag. Many parents keep the folded bassinet under a guest bed and pull it out only when visitors arrive with a newborn.
The Ingenuity Snooze and Stow meets ASTM F2194 safety standards for portable bassinets, which cover structural integrity, stability, mattress firmness, and side-height requirements. We also comply with CPSC safe sleep guidelines that call for a flat, firm sleep surface with no gaps between the mattress and bassinet walls.
Our bassinet undergoes third-party testing for tip-over resistance, locking-mechanism strength, and fabric flammability. Every unit ships with a safety manual that outlines weight limits, assembly steps, and proper use instructions.
