Ingenuity Dream Hero Starlight 3-in-1 Co-Sleeping Bassinet
The Dream Hero Starlight adapts to your changing needs from day one through the first six months. It starts as a bedside co-sleeper that attaches securely to adult beds of varying heights, giving you close access during nighttime feeds without sharing your mattress. When you want more distance or need a standalone sleep space, it converts to a freestanding bassinet with a stable base. The third mode transforms the unit into a changing station by removing the canopy and repositioning the storage basket.

The Dream Hero Starlight’s adjustable leg system locks into six distinct height positions between 18 and 30 inches, so you can align the sleep surface perfectly with platform beds, traditional box springs, or thick pillow-top mattresses. Once you’ve set the height, the attachment strap secures the bassinet frame to your bed frame, keeping the unit stable throughout the night.

Mesh walls and mattress construction
We use tightly woven polyester mesh on all four sides rather than solid fabric panels. This design choice promotes continuous airflow around your baby and lets you check on them from any angle without leaning over the top rail. The mesh is taut enough to prevent sagging but flexible enough to cushion accidental contact.
The included mattress is a firm foam pad wrapped in a water-resistant cover, meeting safe-sleep surface guidelines. A quilted cotton liner sits on top of the mattress and zips off for machine washing. Both the liner and the mattress pad are free of flame retardants, and the foam core is CertiPUR-US certified.

Electronics and soothing features
The Dream Hero Starlight’s detachable electronics pod clips onto the canopy frame and houses a small speaker, a vibration motor, and a rotating LED projector. You can cycle through 15 pre-loaded tracks — a mix of white noise, nature recordings, and instrumental lullabies — and adjust volume with side-mounted buttons. The vibration function runs on a separate motor and offers two intensity levels.
The nightlight projector rotates a disc of star-shaped cutouts, casting moving patterns on the ceiling. It’s dim enough to avoid waking a sleeping baby but bright enough to help you see during diaper changes. All three functions — sound, vibration, and light — operate independently, so you can use one, two, or all three depending on what your baby responds to.

Dream Hero Starlight bassinet questions
Measure from the floor to the top of your mattress. Choose the leg position that brings the Dream Hero Starlight’s sleep surface within one inch of your mattress height. If you’re between settings, go one notch higher so the bassinet edge sits level with or slightly above your bed surface.
Once you’ve locked the legs into position, test stability by pressing down on the rim. If the unit wobbles, tighten the leg locks and recheck. The attachment strap adds a second layer of security by anchoring the frame to your bed.
Yes. The quilted liner and mattress pad cover both unzip and are machine-washable in cold water on a gentle cycle. Air-dry them or tumble on low heat. The mesh walls are spot-clean only — wipe them with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let them air-dry.
The foam mattress itself is not washable. If it gets soiled, wipe the surface with a cloth dampened with water and a small amount of baby-safe detergent, then let it dry completely before reassembling.
The Dream Hero Starlight is rated for babies up to 20 pounds or until they can push up on their hands and knees, whichever comes first. Most babies reach this milestone between four and six months. Once your baby starts rolling or attempting to sit up, transition them to a crib for safety.
The electronics module runs on three AA batteries, which are not included. Battery life varies depending on how often you use the vibration, sound, and light features — expect around 40 hours of combined use. There is no AC adapter option, so keep spare batteries on hand if you plan to use the soothing features frequently.
The Dream Hero Starlight’s base footprint measures 33 inches long by 19 inches wide. If your bed has a footboard that extends past the mattress edge, you may need to position the bassinet at an angle or place it on the side without the footboard. Beds with under-bed storage drawers usually leave enough clearance as long as the drawers don’t extend more than two inches beyond the bed frame.
Absolutely. Lock all four legs down instead of raising one side, and the Dream Hero Starlight becomes a freestanding bassinet. You can place it anywhere in your room or move it to a different space. The attachment strap is optional and only needed when you want bedside co-sleeping mode.
Yes. The rotating projector casts enough light to see your baby and handle quick diaper changes without turning on overhead lights. It won’t wake a sleeping baby, but it provides enough ambient glow to navigate safely. If you need brighter task lighting, you can pair it with a separate clip-on lamp.
